WE ARE STANDING
UP FOR ALL OF US

Amazon Whole Food workers provide essential grocery services for our communities, but often can’t afford groceries for ourselves and our families. And too many of us don’t have access to affordable healthcare and other basic benefits. While we’re struggling, Whole Foods owner Amazon is making tens of billions in profits and its Executive Chair Jeff Bezos is hoarding hundreds of billions in wealth. We believe that hard work should be rewarded with fair pay, and we should share in the prosperity we’ve helped create.
Whole Foods workers are standing up for all working Americans, in Philadelphia and across the US. When workers have a union voice, our entire community benefits. We refuse to back down in our fight for the American Dream. Join us.
Workers formed our union for Fair Pay & Respect
Whole Foods workers at the Center City store in Philadelphia voted by a majority to form a union in an election in January 2025. We formed a union to have a way to stick up for each other and push back against Amazon and the corporate giant’s drive for profits at any cost. We’re ready to negotiate a union contract for:
-
A living wage that reflects our vital contributions.
-
Affordable health care and benefits that support our well-being.
-
Adequate staffing to reduce stress, prevent injuries, and provide better service to customers.
-
Safe working conditions and fair treatment for all employees.
Unfortunately, Amazon Whole Foods is trying to overturn our election, violating federal labor law, and refusing to negotiate a contract with the standards we need. Amazon executives are also running anti-union campaigns at other stores where workers are forming unions.
We’re not giving up, instead we’re growing our movement to demand a piece of the American Dream for ourselves, our communities, and all working people who are fed up with getting only crumbs while corporations rake in billions.
Billionaires like Amazon Whole Foods’ Jeff Bezos wield way too much power over workers like us. We’re fighting back!

Corporate Greed Soars at Amazon
Amazon gobbled up Whole Foods into its vast empire in 2017 and began to put the squeeze on standards for workers. With a starting wage of just $17 an hour, Whole Foods workers have difficulty affording housing, healthcare, childcare and other basic necessities while Amazon profits and Amazon Executive Chair Jeff Bezos’ wealth soars.

It’s time for Bezos and Amazon to recognize our Whole Foods Workers Union at Center City in Philadelphia, negotiate a union contract, and respect all Whole Foods workers’ freedom to join unions. When workers have a union voice, customers get better service and our entire community benefits.
